How Will Changes in Interstate Commerce Law Impact Your Business?

Sales tax law changes at lightning speed, and businesses rely on the informed advice of tax attorneys, and accounting professionals for compliance to these increasingly complicated regulations.

Be in the Room for this Thought-Leader Summit

Join us Tuesday, October 25 in Washington, DC to gain new insight directly from constitutional and tax scholars, e-commerce thought leaders and state and federal policy makers who are at the cutting edge of interstate commerce and e-commerce laws in the 21st century.

The Debate Rages On

Sales tax reform is a hotly debated topic at state and federal levels of government as legislators struggle to balance urgent revenue demands against states’ sovereign rights.

This is going to be another concern for affiliate marketers and those who do online business.

Justin thats correct. the State Nexus tax is now being forced up to the Federal level vs being State by State. It has its pluses and minuses by going to the Federal level. but ultimately better considering States are looking for revenue and this tax seems to be inevitable…. its going to effect everyone in online marketing and important that our industry be properly represented and proactively contributing to making sure laws that make sense are made.

Politicians and Legislators dont understand our internet marketing and ecommerce. So imagine them trying to understand affiliate performance marketing. I experienced this first hand when on a panel with a CO Legislator who openly admitted they were just doing what NY was doing and had no idea how big affiliate marketing was or how it functioned… they thought NY State knew what they were doing.

We need everyone in affiliate marketing to rally the troops behind the PMA as its the only voice we have for affiliate marketing thats been at the table in every State and with all the companies like Amazon, eBay etc… its important we are represented properly….
