Back in May we launched a new initiative called MediaTrust University. The goal was simple – offer educational content freely to our industry to help us all increase our knowledge of performance marketing. Since then we’ve published dozens of articles from experts in social media, seo, ppc, email marketing, landing page design and media buying.

Today we officially announce our new video webinar series. You may have seen our first “pilot” episode featuring Hamlet Batista. We wanted to roadtest the concept before we made a full scale announcement, but it seems that our community has overwhelmingly embraced it. Dozens of you have commented on the episode or re-Tweeted it. Many have expresssed gratitude to Hamlet for so freely sharing his knowledge, while some have offered up their skeptism for his (and our) intentions. The bottom line is that people are engaged and talking about it. That makes it a success in our book.

Today we officially announce the launch of this monthly video series. Each month we’ll bring you a pre-recorded video presentation from someone knowledgeable in a particular field. The goal is to bring you a hands-on tutorial on how to do something better in performance marketing. The videos will be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour long – depending on the depth of the content being covered. After you’ve finished viewing the presentation, we encourage you to leave a comment or question in the shownotes for that presenter. The goal is to start a candid dialogue to help further the discussion and ask questions that maybe the presenter forgot to cover.

We are very excited about this initiative. We believe that education is one of the single biggest needs in our industry right now. We’ve received several comments about how we can make this project better – please feel free to leave a comment with any feedback or suggestions you may have.
