Linda thank you very much for posing about the webinar. This is the first of many in our Mediatrust University EDU series. We have found that there is a tremendous need in the industry for education thought leadership for affiliates and advertisers. There is an ever growing universe of noise out there and we feel its our responsibility to help our industry with the best information to be successful.

IdoSEO, I’m sorry I don’t know of any software like that.
Nancy, I don’t think EVERY marketer says they make a ton of money, just the highly visible ones with blogs or who write articles and most of them I think really do. In the case of this article I believe it to be true.
Where you see lots of other claims of big money is eBook sellers. Now lots of those claims I don’t believe. Many of them are just trying to sell you something, but for the most part I believe reputable bloggers.

Yes there are some who claim to make that kind of ROI and dont. Twitter is cluttered with marketing gurus who we have never heard of or worked with. Thats one of the main reasons for creating the webinar series. there is a lot of noise out there and we at Mediatrust want to ensure we help affiliate publishers and advertisers get the right information so they have a good experience using performance marketing.
We will only have experts who are best in class teaching in the series!

I can’t agree more with your point on first testing if the offer works via PPC and then moving your budget towards SEO spend.
I am looking forward to this on-going series of webinars. Big props to MediaTrust for pushing this education initiative. Most other networks only offer “the highest payouts on exclusive offers” (and MediaTrust can too), but here this is one of a limited amount of marketing education resources from CPA networks themselves.
While other networks are pushing high payouts, MediaTrust is educating affiliates with valuable resources on the MediaTrust Blog, which allow you become more successful marketers. Thanks guys!

For me, affiliate marketing is a complex subject. I am trying to read as many resources to understand more about it. We would like to use it for our company, so I am doing a research on whether it would be useful for us or not.

Yawn … so this guy is supposed to be making millions online right? So why is he doing a video in an “empty” apartment room??
Tell you what – when I make my first million bucks from online marketing – the “LAST” place you will find me is sitting in an apartment talking to my webcam about “how” I got rich.
Get real people …. Anytime you listen to anyone talk about how rich they are and how you can get there too – your waisting your time. If “any” of these affiliates were really making the kind of money they boast about – they would certainly not be telling you how to become their competition – and probably not even be spending any time at all talking on webcams trying to sell you something.
Reminds me of a newspaper ad a while back …
“Find out how to make a million bucks in one month. Send $5.00 to xxxx and get the info packet”.
Okay – so who doesnt have $5.00 …
Run a few hundred ads like that in newspapers across the country and get all these people sending you 5 bucks.
I was one of them, and gave my $5.00 for the info package and you’ll never guess what it was.
This “info package” was a letter that simply said “To make a million bucks in one month – do what I did”.
Duh
This guy doesnt make money from affiliate programs – he makes money from people paying to tell them how he makes money on affiliate programs. Very similar to the fact that the only people making any money on Twitter – are the people selling info on “how” to make money on twitter.
Stop trying to sell “stuff” and just sell bullshit like everyone else online these days – and you get rich. Send me $5.00 and I’ll show you how … haha. I’ll even send you photoshoped images of my paypal and google payments … lol.

You make a lot of assumptions without possessing any of the facts.
First, Hamlet Batista is one the biggest authorities on SEO in the Affiliate Marketing industry. Period. Do some research and ask around and you’ll soon learn that.
Second, as for the webcam – yes, the video is shot with a webcam because that is what we requested of Hamlet. The education series that MediaTrust is providing to our partners is not about slick production value, it’s about great content from smart people. Simple is sometimes better.
Third, you said:

Trust me, there are affiliates making this kind of money. Lots of them. Again, do some research – MediaTrust did over $38 million dollars in revenue last year with the help of our affiliate partners. I can tell you everytime I cash my paycheck that that is very real money.
Finally, I’m always skeptical of the intent of someone that comes onto a blog and without provocation starts reeling off the type of angry inaccuracies that you spouted. There is usally some other motivation for it – in my experience it’s often times envy or jealously.
You, of course, have a right to your opinion Ben, but it would probably be taken more seriously if you spoke in facts and with an actual understanding of the industry.

Hello and Thank You so very much for sharing.
In regard to Ben’s comment: Just because someone tells you how they did it, does not mean that there is a guarantee that you too will do it. I always shared my methods with fellow salesmen, I was right there with them, and they still blew the deal, so I would step in and close the deal. Don’t ask me why this is so, but it is. Hamlet is not asking you to send him $5. and no, you don’t have to buy any courses. But HE obviously is intuitive enough to know that by sharing some information to get affiliates started in the right direction….
his business will grow because of their success.
Now, getting back to why I am commenting.
I am so green in this field and cannot make out what Hamlet is saying in certain parts. Those of you who are savvy with terminology can pick up the words he flies thru, but a green newbie, unfamiliar with terminology can’t.
The video slide bar is not very co-operative when I want to replay certain segments to here those garbled words again, in the hopes of catching what he is saying.
It would be great if you would consider offering Hamlet’s presentation in text form also, for those of us who are trying real hard to understand this business and the great tips that we are missing because of the poor audio value in the video.

For the life of me, I just cannot understand the terminology words that are being used. I have played this video over and over again and I am having so much trouble understanding the most important parts.
Would the owner of this page please do a TEXT VERSION of the video please……as I am sure that there are many Newbies in my shoes that also will run into this problem.

@Ben – I don’t feel offended by your comment. Quite the contrary! I don’t know what makes me sadder: the fact that you gave the $5 for the promise of the million, or what you actually got in return. I can understand how frustrating it can be coming from such terrible experience.
Avoiding scams is very simple: look for trusted third party validation. Don’t listen to me, search my name online and see what others who have seen first hand what I’ve done, say about me. Andrian Bye from MeetInnovators.com is one of them.
@Scott – Thanks a lot for your kind words and for the opportunity to share my ideas here. Hopefully, most affiliates will try to take action and change their lives instead of looking for excuses to do nothing.
@Irene – I can tell you are very smart. You are absolutely right! You can tell people everything you know, but listening to your words won’t transfer your experience. Experience and the confidence that comes from it, can only be acquired by doing things, not by listening or reading.
I’d have a transcriber produce a text version of this Webinar and the next one that I just finished producing. Thanks for the feedback.
